Credentials, they don't got no
stinkin' Credentials

This is great folks parkwests' newest appraiser Caroline
Ashleigh a self proclaimed authority of
fabric (why is she appraising prints al?) back in 2003 created
a document for the
Michigan Bar Journal entitled ' Using "Expert" Art
Appraiser - what a lawyers need to know' . I wonder of any of parkwest
appraisers (al baby, mini marc scaglione, bill smith, morris shapiro, albert
molina, bernard ewell or even ms ashleigh herself) can say that they can meet
these qualification. What do you think

Okay, recently louie louie and tommy boy made a
posting on the artsmart blog:
Just as the real estate industrys
mantra is Location, Location, Location, Credentials,
Credentials, Credentials drives the business of fine art collecting, and
thats another caution for clients ....
Hmm, that is curious that they al baby, louie louie and
tommy boy would bring that up. Let us take a look at these so called experts
shall we?
Ok we have al baby, the head cheese at parkwest gallery.
Did i say head cheese ? man that stuff looks nasty, I wonder if they serve it
at the vip events .. and change the name to fromage principal to make it seem
more refined. back to al baby. yep, he has got credentials in engineering and
if i remember correctly, looking at the course requirements to obtain a
engineering degree .. art is pretty low on the list. oh.. he worked in a
gallery when he was a teenager .. that must explain his credentials, wonder if
he worked in a print shop to create his credentials. al you don't have any
credentials do you? are you certifiable in the arts? if you do have any
credentials, certifications that are recognized by an international body, heck
how about a regional body specializing in the arts, post them on your
website.
Next is louie louie .. nice song .. not nice person. ok
mr artsmart, you are a previously employed magazine editor, you got your own
website, blog, you know all about big luxury boats, ports, seamen, and interior
design. ok where are your art credentials .. are you certified? Yeah that's
what i thought. all talk no paper. If you got it .. flaunt it on your website.
tommy boy .. great movie, anyway, next time you head off
to mexico, please stay
there. or at least stay long enough to get rid of the farmer
tan . Anyway, near as i can determine, you are an excellent pr pencil pusher.
you seemed to be a decent gm pr person, you know your cars and the car market.
I see that you have now gone down scale and think you know art. i guess you can
equate vehicle design to art, but that might be pushing it by espousing
parkwest posters. if i were you, i'd take marilyn and head off for a european
vacation, you look like you are in your mid-50's .. take the money and run far
away from the gallery, you have no idea the bed your climbing into. but i'll
ask you too, what credentials / certifications do you have to be an art
expert?
We haven't heard much about Cherrin/Caponigro .. but i
don't think they know art but hey .. do you guys have credentials that make you
experts in the area of Fine Art?
Ira, how about you? where are your credentials, sure you
own a business, and basically got bought out by al baby, so you are pretty
biased, owning a business that deals with pretty posters doesn't cut it for me,
what accredation board has certified you.
Ditto for the other al. albert molina, i've heard you've
signed certifications of al .. oops, certifications of authenticity. what body
has certified you. if you got it, post it and no a certificate of autheticity
from southfield isn't going to cut it either. What makes you a Fine Art
expert?
|
Ok to
recap:
al scag. Engineer, Ph.D (is that piled higher and deeper
???) .. I wonder if al stood too close to the capacitor bank during discharge
of a multi megajoule launcher.
louie louie postel. uhmmm .. interior designer? magazine
editor, writer? it's not doing it for me
tommy boy beaman, car pr guy, communications, freelance
writer? Cars yes, art no
dan cherrin and the caponigro group .. crisis mgmt pr ..
LOL yeah right.
ira shore, business owner, bought out by al scag. baby.
lots of 0's i'd bet. i'm thinking what ever al says .. goes ..
albert molina, owned a mobile framing business that is
now folded into parkwest's miami lakes facility. any parkwest posters in
camilla's house?
I've not seen a single verifiable certificate for these
jokers that they have posted on their websites, blogs that came from a
recognized accreditation board that relates to Fine Art.

So when you start pointing your finger, please note
that there are three fingers pointing back at you.
As full disclosure, nope, i'm not certified either but
then again, i don't sell posters , paintings, prints or anything could be
considered nor mis-construed as an investment. But i don't think that any of us
need to be septic technicians to know that there is a problem when we start
reading your posts/blogs/website and press releases.
